7 Ways to Earn an Extra $1,000 a Month

First, you need to be willing to work more if you want to earn more. Everyone wants to magically earn more money by working less, but it doesn't work that way. Second, you need to be willing to try new things. You don't necessarily need to be creative. You just need to be willing to try to earn money in a different way than you currently are doing.
Here's how you can earn an extra $1,000 this month:
1. Tutor someone. I know tutors who are charging more $100 per hour. It doesn't take much extra work to pocket $1,000 per month with rates like that. Do you know a subject particularly well? Go to wealthy neighborhoods in your area and start selling your knowledge. There are a lot of parents willing to pay to help their kids get ahead.
2. Flip items on Craigslist. While I'm all for getting rid of junk, this method will only make you extra money until you run out of things to sell. If you want to make sustained money, you need to do some Craigslist arbitrage.
Here's how it works. First, choose a few items to track on Craigslist. These are items that you are going to keep an eye on and snatch up when good deals become available. High-priced items, like washers and dryers or laptops, work best because you can make a decent profit on them. You can easily make $50 or more per sale by flipping those items on Craigslist.
Sometimes you may even find a person giving away a dishwasher or a refrigerator for free. Pick these items up and you'll get pure profit by reselling them.Obviously, this idea will work better if you live in a heavily populated area where goods are changing hands more frequently.
3. Write for money. If you have decent writing skills,  there are many options for earning more money. For example, all sorts of blogs, magazines, and businesses hire freelance writers to create brochures, articles, and other forms of the written word.
If you're a good writer but don't have the time to write a lot of extra articles, you can try what I call the "eBay Ad Strategy." There are many high-priced items selling on eBay, such as cars, boats, and motorcycles. Many of these items have terrible descriptions and sales pages. You can contact the owners, tell them that you will write a great sales page for them, and simply ask for 1 percent of the selling price as your fee. They don't pay you anything unless the item sells. This makes the offer appealing to them and because it's a high-priced item, you can easily earn a nice chunk of change from a little bit of work.
4. Create a Kickstarter project. If you're an artsy type or a hopeful entrepreneur, Kickstarter could be the perfect way to earn more money and pursue your passion. Kickstarter is an online platform where people share their ideas for creative projects and ask the public to help fund them. There have already been a number of popular success stories. In many cases, independent movies, music albums, and even businesses wouldn't exist without the initial funding they received from the Kickstarter community. If you put together a good proposal, it is very reasonable to think that you could land $1,000 in funding. You can get more details on how the process works at Kickstarter.com.
5. Create your own travel business. If you know a city or tourist destination particularly well, you can easily make an extra $1,000 by running a small travel business. Here is an example. I have a friend who loves scuba diving. He knows a few locations very well. Someone asked if he would act as a guide, and my friend had the bright idea to start doing it all the time. He started putting together scuba vacation packages, and now that's his full-time job. He offers a full pre-paid package that includes lodging, meals, and scuba equipment, plus a markup for him.
You could use a similar strategy in almost any popular destination or activity. Restaurant hopping in San Francisco, kayaking in Canada, hiking in West Virginia, you name it.
6. Rent out your room on Airbnb. Airbnb.com is an online marketplace where people buy and sell the space they own. Some people rent out their vacation homes, some rent out their floor and an air mattress, and some rent out the treehouse in their backyard. (Seriously.) If you have space in a popular area, then you can easily create your own hotel of sorts.
7. Sell your skills as a freelancer. You might be surprised by the tasks people are willing to pay to have done. A skill that seems ordinary to you might be extraordinary to someone else, such as dog walker, Website designer, home organizer, marketing consultant, or personal cook. There is no reason you can't sell the skills you already have for some extra money.

Some of the business ideas listed require nothing more than an internet connection, while others demand a level of licensing or a specific set of vocational skills...the choice is yours!
1. Making Chatbots

I am quoted on entrepreneur.com as  "ChatBot expert Murray Newlands commented that "Where 10 years ago every company needed a website and five  years ago every company needed an app, now every company needs to embrace messaging with AI and chatbots." That brings opportunity and jobs. You can learn to make them for free without coding for companies.

Chatbots are in and it has reached the point where every business needs one. Marketing does involve a certain level of background knowledge. That said, if you are not experienced, investing in an online course is not only cheap but will equip you with the adequate tools to start a solo digital marketing agency you could expand in the future. There are lots of new marketing fields opening up such as influencer marketing.

Companies are always looking for freelancers able to provide marketing copy that is SEO-friendly and can transform website visitors into leads and, eventually, customers. In addition to offering optimized copy, you could offer to upload the content to their websites and improve their SEO further with:

    Meta descriptions
    The right titles
    The correct keyword density
    Tags and categories
Relevant images with SEO captions and alt tags

5. Social Media Consultant
Who doesn’t love Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram? Fancy yourself to be a bit of whiz but don’t have any formal training? Twitter and Google, among other platforms, offer complete professional courses with recognized certifications that require little to no money. Social media is also a business that has unlimited potential with a client base that can span across the world. This trend is unlikely to die soon, if ever, and new platforms are being released every year, making the possibilities for expansion limitless. You can use social media management tools to make your job easy.
6. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is extremely easy to get into and involves you earning a commission by promoting other companies' products and services. Basically, you choose a product you like, promote it, and make a profit on each sale that stems from your marketing efforts. An affiliate marketing business is especially easy to start if:

You have a blog or website of your own
You can prove your success through visitor statistics
You have already successfully undertaken affiliate marketing and can show this to your potential clients

7. Tester or Reviewer
Individuals or startups often look for people to review their products to encourage others to buy them. You can either get started with a profile on freelancing websites or approach companies directly, offering them a review in exchange for a monetary reward by becoming an influencer. Even better, if you have your own website or blog, you could write entire posts about their products, thus allowing you to charge more money in the long run and build a portfolio with tangible results to show future clients.
8. Secretarial Services
Similar to virtual assisting, remote secretarial services require little to no experience. All you need is:

    Answering phone calls

9. Online Dating Consultant
Have you got a way with words? Or have you found your Mr. or Mrs. Right and want to share how you got there? You can become someone's wingman or woman and help them find love by becoming an online dating consultant. This type of consulting comes with a large level of responsibility, as you will be guiding someone's love life. Daily tasks include:

Acting as an account manager on dating sites
    Writing profiles
Offering telephone updates on their matchmaking status

10. Ebay Assistant or Seller

An Ebay assistant or seller is similar to being a marketing affiliate. The key difference is that instead of marketing the product, you are selling it directly to the customer. When selling for others on Ebay or any other platform, you will sell the product and keep a commission as compensation.

Unfortunately, this type of job comes with risks. Commonly, scam artists attract Ebay sellers and use fake shipping papers to convince them to send payments. Unfortunately, even if you are scammed, you will be held responsible for your customers not receiving their items. Always remember to:

    Get to know the distributor
Keep all payments in your e-wallet until the customer confirms having received the parcel
    Report any suspicious activity
Do not share any of your banking details

The 15 Best YouTube Gaming Channel Tips, Learn Something

Our YouTube Gaming Channel Tips

15. Produce Regular Content

To stay relevant on YouTube, you have to produce content on a regular basis. Due to the way that YouTube’s algorithims work, you become more popular based on the amount of time people spend watching your videos. Focus on high-engagement videos that can be released relatively regularly- smaller channels can start at a weekly pace, but as a channel grows it’s a good idea to release two or three pieces of content per week.

14. Focus On Audience Engagement

By nature, gaming is an interactive medium. By extension, this entry in our YouTube gaming channel tips is about utilizing that. Your viewers will regularly comment on your videos and attempt to contact you through social media outlets or YouTube itself. Respond to user comments on your channel, and pay close attention to the words of your loyal subscribers.

13. Consider An MCN

An MCN, or Multi-Channel-Network, is an easy way for YouTubers to gain access to helpful resources for their growth, as well as ad revenue, YouTube partnership and copyright protection. We wrote an article about this topic over here. MCNs are their own beast, and that’s a little too much to cram into this article on YouTube gaming channel tips.

12. (Or Learn Your Rights)

MCNs aren’t the only option for getting partnered as a gaming channel. By properly studying Fair Use on YouTube, you can enjoy posting gaming content while receiving one hundred percent of your own ad revenue through Google AdWords and YouTube RED. Even if you choose to go with an MCN, it’d be wise to learn the rules, as an MCN doesn’t protect you from a copyright strike if you’re in blatant violation.

11. Get Custom Channel Art/Profile

Think of it like this: you dress up for a job interview because you want to get the job. This is called presentation, and this YouTube gaming channel tip is all about that. Gamers enjoy great-looking graphics in their games, and video purveyors are used to tight editing and slick graphics. Your channel should have a nice avatar and banner that fits you and your content.

10. Consider Intros/Outros For Your Videos

Intros/outros are popular on YouTube. In general, you want intros to be short title cards that include your name and imagery related to the video. Outros can continue on for 10-20 seconds after a video ends, plugging annotations for your other videos and perhaps playing a catchy tune of your choice.

9. Mind SEO

SEO is short for Search Engine Optimization, and SEO is God for all kinds of content creators, YouTubers included. For YouTubers, this is mostly about properly titling and tagging your videos. Be sure to include the name of the game, the type of content you’re doing and other vital information in your tags. These tags are what people will be using to search for and find your videos.

8. Choose Your Niche

Niche has quite a few definitions, but the one that’s most relevant in this context is one referring to products/services succeeding by being sold to particular groups of people. In gaming terms, this means focusing on a particular kind of content, or a particular genre/series of games. Niche channels may not have the widespread popularity of the biggest ones out there, but working in a small niche is advantageous for initial growth and collaboration with other YouTubers within that niche.

7. Work With Other YouTubers In That Niche

This wouldn’t be a list of YouTube gaming channel tips if we didn’t encourage you to work with other YouTube gaming channels! All the biggest channels on YouTube take advantage of collaboration, and gaming channels are no exception. Some particular channels are simply hubs that people from all over gaming YouTube work together on to promote their own channels!

6. Always Listen To Feedback

To improve as a content creator, you have to listen to your audience. You can’t please everyone, but you should take into consideration their opinions and feedback so you can learn how to improve. Remember what we said earlier about being engaged with your audience? Your audience will typically praise or criticize your videos, and you need to focus on both of these forms of communication.

5. Bring Friends/Co-hosts

Something you don’t see often in YouTube gaming channel tips is the idea of working directly with your own friends on your channel. This is baffling, since many big channels are popular for this reason. In general, most channels can’t be carried by a singular personality, especially not show channels. Having a co-host or group of friends you play with regularly in your videos can help your viewers feel like they’re personally a part of your friend group.

4. Use Social Media To Your Advantage

Gaming channels don’t typically benefit from making videos for every little thing going on in the creator’s life. Videos should be reserved for your main content or important announcements: for everything else, plug your social media outlets in your descriptions and encourage your subscribers to follow you there.

3. Consider Streaming

Streaming alongside YouTube is a great way to grow your gaming channel. There are two main streaming services for you to use: Twitch and YouTube Gaming. Twitch is better for growing your following and exposing it to new viewers, while YouTube Gaming is better for engaging with your current following on YouTube. Either method is a great way to engage with your audience.

2. Prioritize Yourself Over The Games

Games are, in truth, only the initial draw of most YouTube gaming channels. This is another one of our lesser-known YouTube gaming channel tips- people come for the games, but they subscribe and stay for you. They come because you’re covering a game they’re interested in, but you get likes and subscribes when they enjoy your presentation and style.

1. Establish Your Own Voice

Elaborating on the previous point, this is very important. Even if you share a niche with other YouTubers, you want to be unique enough to stand out. Remember: there is no one exactly like you. It’s important to learn and take inspirations from other YouTubers, but at the end of the day you need to be unique enough to earn loyalty of subscribers and viewers.

Step 1: Start With a Good Vlogging Camera

You can start off with any device that has the ability to record a video such as a smartphone, tablet or the webcam of your laptop. However, we recommend you start with a good camera since people are more likely to subscribe to YouTubers that have High Definition videos. You don’t enjoy watching bad quality videos and others don’t either. To find the perfect vlogging camera for your needs and budget we created The Ultimate Guide to Buying A Vlogging Camera.

Once you have found the perfect vlogging camera we also have guides on finding the right microphone, editing software, laptop, tripod or lighting set-up but don’t worry about any of these for now.

Step 2: Create a YouTube Channel

Now that you have a good vlogging camera you need a place to publish your videos. Youtube is currently the most popular website for vloggers so we recommend you make an account there. To start creating your YouTube vlogging channel head on over to: https://www.youtube.com/create_channel

Step 3: Film a Vlog

Alright, so now you have a camera to record a vlog and youtube channel to upload your vlog. Now it’s time to actually start vlogging. If you don’t know what to vlog about, you can film what you do everyday, record your hobbies, what’s on your mind, do some challenges or anything else.
Here are some tips for recording your first vlog:
  1. Don’t overthink it, relax: Don’t plan it out too much. Just start recording and say whatever is on your mind. Being spontaneous is a good thing for vlogging.
  2. Good lighting and Audio quality: If you have picked the right vlogging camera these shouldn’t be an issue. Make sure to speak clearly and don’t leave any long silences in your vlog.
  3. Interact with your audience: vlogging is great because you can connect on a more personal level. Engage with your viewers, ask their opinion and be sure to respond to comments on your vlogs.
  4. Sign off with a unique personal phrase: this helps you personalize your videos and a lot of successful vloggers have their own unique phrase they use to end the vlog.
 Step 4: Edit Your Vlog

To make your vlog more professional you should edit the videos you have recorded and cut out anything you don’t want to be in the vlog. There are a lot of free (and paid). If you have a Apple computer you can use iMovie and if you have a windows computer you can use Windows Live Movie Maker. Luckily there are plenty of tutorials online (on youtube!) to learn how to use this software.

Want to find the perfect editing software? Use our best editing software guide. (coming soon)

Want to find the perfect laptop to edit your vlogs on? Use our best laptop for editing your vlogs on guide. (coming soon)

Step 5: Upload Your Vlog to YouTube

Once your vlog is all done it’s time to upload it to youtube. Navigate to YouTube and click on the ‘upload’ button in the top right corner. From here YouTube will navigate you through the entire process. Pick a good title for your vlog and don’t forget to fill out the description and tags so more people can find the vlog.

Step 6: Promote Your Videos

Now that your vlog is on youtube you should promote it so more people will watch your videos. The easiest way to do this is on social media. Share your vlogs on your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or any other social networks you’re active on. Also be sure to reach out to other who may find your vlog interesting or other youtubers.

Step 7: Keep Going!

Your vlog will probably not have thousands of views at first but don’t let that stop you. Set a schedule for how often you want to upload new vlogs and stick with that schedule no matter what.

Keep networking with other youtubers, bloggers and people on social media and maybe do some collaborations with others. That way your youtube channel will grow a lot faster.

When your vlog gets more views you will also get some negative comments. Don’t fret over getting judged or other negative comments. It’s easy to criticize others but you’re the one who is brave enough to film and upload yourself to youtube when others are too scared to. Don’t let the negative comments get to you and just focus on the positive comments.

Step 8: Monetize

Once your subscriber base grows and you start getting more views it’s time to make some money of your vlogs. Apply to the Youtube Partnership Program so you can start earning money of ads shown before or during your videos. Beware: YouTube does not let you monetize videos with copyrighted material so don’t include any songs you don’t own the rights to.

GOOD LUCK!!!

How To Make Money On YouTube In 2019

Lots of people talk about how they quit their day job and became full-time YouTubers. These stories can be very compelling. After all, who wouldn’t want to turn their passion into a bonafide career? While becoming a professional YouTuber is the ultimate dream, it does require a bit of a reality check. Just for reference, you make about $1,000 per one million views on YouTube. So unless your videos are getting millions of views in a short period of time, every time, you might want to keep your day job and also explore YouTube monetization routes that don’t rely on views only.
But if you want to start dabbling in monetizing on YouTube or if you want to make a hefty side-profit from sharing on YouTube you will want to read this post.

You’ll need to post 2–3 times per week

You know the term ‘fake it till you make it’? Well, if you want to be a full-time YouTuber, you have to start acting like one. That means you need to post regularly — very, very regularly. Think about it, you don’t only go to work once a month and tell your boss ‘sorry, I was busy, but I am back now!’. Instead, you go to work every day, no excuses. You need to do the same on YouTube. You’ll need to post all the time to build your audience and ensure you have a steady stream of views.

Diversify your income streams

Remember how we said to not quit your day job in the opening paragraph? We didn’t say that to be rude — we said it because we want to make sure you maximize your earning potential. In this day-in-age, nothing is promised in terms of income. For example, many YouTubers saw their income decrease when the platform started giving creators less money from ads. Even if you do make enough to live on YouTube, you still want a secondary or third income stream. It is the safest route if one of your jobs doesn’t work out.

Adsense

This is the most obvious one. You will need to hook your Adsense account to your YouTube channel so that you get paid per view. This is the most common route to make money on YouTube, however it is the least profitable. People do not make a ton of money from Adsense. So you cannot rely on this method alone. This is particularly true if you are just starting out and don’t have millions of views on your channel yet.

Affiliate Links

Whether you use Amazon or Reward Style, affiliate links can be a great way to monetize your channel.
